Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the InboxAttic Gmail add-on and the InboxAttic website (together, the "Service"). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is provided by Faraz Borghei ("InboxAttic," "we," "us," or "our"). InboxAttic is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. Your privacy is addressed in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
2. The Service
InboxAttic is a Gmail add-on that analyzes your mailbox metadata to help you understand and reduce your Gmail storage usage, and that can perform cleanup actions (such as archiving, labeling, moving messages to trash, and unsubscribing) at your direction. The Service runs inside your own Google account under the permissions you grant. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
3. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- use the Service in violation of any applicable law or of Google's terms, including the Google Workspace Marketplace and Gmail terms;
- use the Service on an account you are not authorized to access;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disrupt, overload, or circumvent the security or licensing of the Service, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted; or
- use the Service to send spam or otherwise abuse email systems.
4. Cleanup actions are your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the actions you choose to take through the Service and their results. While archive and label are reversible and trashed messages remain recoverable in Gmail's Trash for 30 days before Gmail removes them, you are responsible for reviewing what you are about to change before you confirm. InboxAttic performs no permanent deletion of your email on its own. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for email you cause to be archived, labeled, trashed, or unsubscribed from through the Service.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
Paid plans are sold and processed by Paddle.com as our Merchant of Record (seller of record). All matters of purchase, subscription, pricing, taxes, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the terms presented to you by Paddle at checkout and by Paddle's applicable policies. Please review Paddle's checkout / buyer terms before purchasing. Where those checkout terms conflict with these Terms on payment matters, the Paddle checkout terms control. InboxAttic does not receive or store your payment card details.
6. "As is" and disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements or produce any particular result. You use the Service at your own risk.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will InboxAttic or Faraz Borghei, or its owners, employees, or suppliers, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, email, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business, arising out of or relating to the Service, whether based in contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the add-on and revoking its access from your Google Account permissions. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination โ including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law โ will survive.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the Province of British Columbia, Canada for any dispute not otherwise subject to a binding alternative process, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
